baby eli.

My best friend Holly & her wonderful husband, Jon, welcomed their son Eli into this world on March 29th.  I was lucky enough to snuggle and take some photos of their beautiful baby boy.  He is such a tiny little guy, a whole pound smaller than Henry!  Holly & Jon looked incredible, even though I know they both are surviving on very little sleep with a newborn in the house!  Rocket (their cat) even got in on the photo action.  I can't wait for all of these boys to grow up and be the best of friends, just like their mamas :)

lunch time faces. (13 months)

13 months:

I've decided to continue with the monthly posts even though the sticker ties have run out... I am afraid if I don't, I won't remember all the milestones when making my annual photo album.  For this month, I took pictures of the various faces you make during meals.  Sometimes they are happy, sometimes they are sad and sometimes they are like "mom, what the heck are you trying to feed me?"

This past month has led to major walking and a major dislike for big boy shoes.  I bought your first pair of Saucony slip-ons and you act like there are two cement blocks on your feet.  I suppose they are a bit heavier than your usual sock/soft shoe apparel :)  Surely you will get used to them soon enough!

Your favorite game is attempting to repeat everything we say.  New "words" include boo (book), dypo (diaper), wa-wa (water), doh-doh (dog), hi, ya-ya (yes) and of course, no no.  Anytime a four-legged animal appears on TV, you yell doh-doh at the screen... And when we ask if you are a monkey, you reply "MMM-mmm" in a monkey-like tone :)

In other news, you now have 2 molars and 2 more on the way.  We are cruising through this teething phase, I'm hoping it will soon come to an end, or at least give us a break for a while!

We attempted to do some coloring and you ate the crayons... we attempted painting with edible paint and you ate that too... I think craft time is on break until you stop putting everything in your mouth.  Your favorite toys/past time includes styrofoam coffee cups and emptying the pantry/lazy susan.  Thank goodness we got you all of those toys for your birthday :)

Each day you learn something new and we can't wait to see how you change in the next month!
