8 months:

Well, we have entered the phase of mobility and it was nearly impossible to get you to sit still for our photo shoot (as you can see by the blurry first pic).  All you want to do is go, go, go and all I want to do is sit down for 5 minutes :).  It was so much fun to watch you learn to crawl.  Each day you figured out something new that you could do and slowly started to move.  You are getting faster, which is saying something on the hardwood floors.  Your other favorite thing to do is pull up on the coffee table and remove every object that remains on the top.  And then you look at it on the floor like it will magically appear on the table again...

You also have two new teeth, the top two, which popped through a couple of weeks ago.  Thankfully you handled it pretty well and mommy only lost a few good nights of sleep.  The other evening we noticed you were grinding those four little teeth of yours together as hard as possible, which made daddy and I cringe.  Apparently that is a normal thing babies do, but I hope you phase it out quickly!

Bath time is still a favorite, especially now that you sit up in the big boy tub and can play with all of your toys.  Swinging at the park is also a fun activity, but unfortunately the cold is coming and we will have to wait until spring for visits to the park.    

Happy 8 months, little guy!  We love you :)

Henry has officially figured out how to crawl.  The poor kid wanted to move around so badly, now he can finally go where he wants to.  It took a few days for him to get the hang of crawling on the hardwood floors, but he made it happen.  He also decided he wants to pull up on all pieces of furniture in the house... needless to say, all hard corners are now padded to prevent any future trips to the ER.  

I think my life just got a little busier and I don't know if I will ever be able to sit down again :)

Fall is my favorite season.  Cool mornings, sunny skies, boots, scarves & cardigans are all the best things that fall brings.  And pumpkins of course.  Pumpkin pies, pumpkin coffee, pumpkin bagels (best bagel @ panera by far!), pumpkin candles, pumpkin bars etc.  The list of things I love about fall could go on and on and on and on... 

To really get a first taste of fall, I decided to take Henry to the apple orchard/pumpkin patch with my friend Allison.  We were very excited about our trip.  He didn't have a clue what was going on but I was able to get some great pictures (with the help of Allison).    

Unfortunately, our little adventure started off on a semi-bad, semi-funny note... I flushed my sunglasses down the toilet within the first 5 minutes of arriving.  As they fell into the toilet, I thought, "oh bummer, I'm going to have to really sanitize those."  And then they kept going, as the toilet finished it's flush and disappeared.  I think I was in shock b/c I just stood there staring at the toilet.  After it hit me they were really gone for good, I had to laugh about it.  Whenever the day comes and the toilets get clogged up, some plumber is going to get a really nice pair of aviators :)
