a snowy session.

This past weekend, I was given the opportunity to take my little hobby to a different level.  My very dear friend, Jamie, asked if I would be willing to have a little maternity photo session with her and her husband.  I have only taken pictures of Henry and inanimate objects, but was willing to give it a try!  We made plans for Sunday and got lucky b/c a decent amount of snow was on the ground.  We made our way into the woods and nearly froze to death.  Jamie was SUCH a trooper!  She even did a couple outfit changes in the middle of the woods, in the snow, at a bitter 18 degrees.

I didn't know what to expect with the outcome, but I can honestly say I am pretty proud of the results!  I am SO happy for Jamie & Matt.  They are going to be amazing parents and you can already see how much love they have for the little guy.  I can't wait to meet him! (And photograph him :))

henry len- 10 months

10 months:

Oh, how much you have changed in just a month!  We have added on more favorite foods, including waffles in the morning that you absolutely devour.  Yogurt is still high on the list, along with mac n' cheese.  Meals are becoming larger and bottles are becoming a struggle.  I'm hoping this will lead to an easy transition to milk and no more bottle feedings :)

You learned how to wave and when it is appropriate to do so (every time you leave the room, when the nanny arrives & departs, when mom & dad get home etc.).  For Christmas, you received not one, but THREE walkers and like to push them around the main floor until you run into a wall/table/sofa and then you move onto the next available walker to repeat the same thing.  The empty dirt devil box is still a favorite toy, regardless of all the other things you received as gifts.

In the past month you had three more teeth come in (this makes the total count = 8).  Those teeth have made you a little grump some of the time, but hopefully we will get a little break for a while (and more sleep at night).

This is such a fun age, you make us laugh all the time and enjoy mocking our laughs.  We often hear you chiming in when we are having a laugh/conversation of our own.  You make lots of sounds and like to chit-chat with yourself.   We are pretty sure you say momma and dada when you are trying to get our attention (definitely momma when you are upset).

Two more months until you are a year old!  The time is flying by WAY TOO FAST :(
