Another month has come and gone... I can't believe we are already into June- this is a big month! Darin and I will celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary and I turn 30 (eek!). After teaching Henry how to do somersaults (and one random cartwheel) with several demonstrations the other night , I can honestly say that I FEEL 30 :)
Emmett took off crawling a couple weeks after his 7 month birthday and has been nonstop ever since. His new found mobility made this photo shoot VERY challenging. He loves to ignore all of his toys and beeline for anything Henry has, which has left Henry in a frenzy to either clean up or screech in Emmett's face until one of us steps in. Common phrases in our household are, "be gentle", "don't kick/hit/smash your brother", "please share with your brother", "STOP KICKING YOUR BROTHER". Poor Emmett. One of these days he will get even.
Emmett finally has started to enjoy *some* foods. The kid can put down some puffs and gets angry when you don't give him more. We have introduced some meats (disgusting) and have gotten through most of the fruits/veggies. He really prefers things in his feeder or stuff he can pick up and shove into his mouth. Hopefully he is a better eater than his big bro.
He hasn't said any solid words yet, but we swear he says HI when you say hello to him. I also think I've heard "momma" twice, both times as he was crawling to get me. He better learn to talk and talk loudly if he ever wants to be heard over Henry.
