christmas 2016

We made it home from our mini vacation in time to celebrate Christmas with Darin's family on Christmas Eve, then headed back home to wake up on Christmas morning.  It was late Christmas Eve when we finally got to the house but Henry still had time to put out a cookie and some milk for Santa.   It was time for the boys to go to bed so mom and dad could play Santa.

Thankfully the boys don't really understand the concept of waking up as early as possible to see what Santa brought yet, so we all were able to sleep in a bit.  Eventually everyone woke up and Henry's first question was if Santa came.  He ran down to see all of the gifts and said, "what is the world is going on here?!"  He made sure the cookies and milk were gone and then started to dive into the gifts.  Emmett remained neutral and was more interested in eating Darin's cinnamon roll.  I saved the best and biggest gift for Henry for last... the ultimate garage he requested.  He was so excited to open it last.  We spent the rest of the day putting things together and playing with all of the new toys.  After dinner, we drove around to check out all of the Christmas lights and came back to play more.  Christmas is just so magical with these little guys!  I'm already looking forward to the next one :)
