For our third (and incredibly hot) day in San Diego, we decided to head over to Balboa Park to walk around and see the sites. The lily pond pictured below is one of the most photographed lily ponds and apparently had been vandalized only a month prior to our visit due to a water gun fight... I don't know what happened, but it was looking pretty good for our visit! We only lasted about an hour b/c we were sweating and hungry and did I mention we were sweating? After our little trip to Balboa Park, we decided to take the ferry to Coronado Island for dinner. While we were on the island, we rented a four wheel bike/roadster. Pedaling in a dress was not a great idea and the roadster itself was not very easy to maneuver. We rode down to Coronado Bridge and then had to turn around after I snapped a few shots. For dinner, we went to Peohe's on the bay and caught some glimpses of the sunset.
